Île Saint-Paul is a 6 km2 island in the Indian Ocean that is part of the French Southern and Antarctic Lands. The island is around 90 kilometers south of Île Amsterdam, 1,300 kilometers northeast of the Kerguelen Islands, and 3,000 kilometers southeast of Réunion. It is a vital breeding ground for seabirds. The island has a scientific research cabin that is utilized for short scientific or ecological missions, but there is no permanent population. It is overseen by a senior administrator on Réunion.
